Esperanza Resources Commences Diamond Drilling at Pucarana Project

Esperanza Resources has commenced drilling at the Pucarana project. The company has planned to drill 2,500 meters totaling 10 diamond-drill core holes.

The location of this project is in the Arequipa area of southern Peru, which is close to the Orcopampa gold-silver mining site. Esperanza has become the operator of the joint venture, which is with Estrella Gold. The Pucarana project includes two concessions having 1,889 hectares in total. The location of Pucarana is seven kilometers from the entrance of the underground Chipmo mine and 15 km from the Poracota mine that produces 360,000 oz of gold and 131,000 oz of silver annually during 2010. This project is a gold-rich arrangement having quartz veins and silicified bodies accompanied by modifications analogous to the gold identified near Chipmo mine. The layers and formations, which are analyzed during drilling is located towards northeast of Chipmo’s active underground workings.

Esperanza has an earn-in of 60% in the Pucarana project by paying US$1.3 million and mutual cash expense of up to US$80,000 in total.
