Silver Scott Mines Commences Reverse Circulation Drilling at Quitovac Gold Project

Silver Scott Mines has commenced a 6000 m reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at the Quitovac gold mine project. The RC drill program started, after the company inked a long term surface land contract with the Quitovac community.

The company drilled 917.5 m, totaling six RC drill holes, with a delay of one day of work for the local torrential rains after the drilling commencement. It will drill the remaining 5080 m during January of 2012. All the drilled holes have been angled towards southwest at an azimuth of 225 and most of the holes have an inclination angle of 45° except QP-3 that is at an inclination of 60°. The company has sent the samples to the laboratory in order to analyze through the coarse screen and the standard fire assay under the supervision of Jim Bradbury, QP Metallurgical Engineer.

Mel Herdrick, who is the company’s chief geologist, stated that Silver Scott has anticipated this drill program to start outlining the gold mineralized zone present at the Quitovac Mine region. Different shear zones and mineralized contacts can be drilled and mapped by the company. The objective of the company along with the overall corporate strategy is to mine, outline and commence the production of silver and gold through the heap leach mine extension and processing, together with the exploration and operation.
