The Thermo Scientific™ Elescan™ XRF-100 Online Multi-stream Elemental Slurry Analyzer is an advanced tool designed for real-time elemental analysis of slurry streams in mining and mineral processing. Utilizing energy-dispersive X-ray fluorescence (EDXRF), it delivers precise measurements of metal concentrations in critical process streams, supporting process control decisions and troubleshooting beneficiation circuits to minimize metal losses and optimize reagent consumption.

A key benefit of integrating EDXRF technology (which employs a single detector to analyze multiple elements) with a low-power, air-cooled X-ray tube is the availability of a continuous X-ray energy spectrum. This enables the detection of unexpected elements as ore deposits change over time.

This approach also allows for the use of an economical, low-power excitation source compared to WDXRF systems. With an extended service life, replacement costs are significantly lower than those of WDXRF excitation sources while still offering excellent energy resolution, high counting rates, and rapid cycle times in a multiplexed analyzer.
