Draglines are a primary excavating tool used in many surface mining operations worldwide. These highly productive machines operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and are able to reach depths of 262 feet (79.8 m) with capacities up to 152 cubic yards (116.2 cubic meters). Offering the lowest material removal cost per ton (tonne) and an average operating life of 40 years, draglines are the most productive and versatile machine in the industry.
