Metals Creek Resources Corp. (the "Company") is pleased to announce the commencement of a 3 hole diamond drill program on the Ogden Property in the Timmins Gold Camp, Ontario. The Ogden claims cover eight kilometers of strike length of the Porcupine-Destor Break between Goldcorp's Dome Mine and Lake Shore Gold's West Timmins Mine.
The Ogden Property is held under a joint venture in which Metals Creek owns 50%, and Goldcorp Canada Ltd. ("Goldcorp") owns 50% (as manager and on behalf of the Porcupine Joint Venture, a joint venture between Goldcorp Inc. and Goldcorp Canada Ltd.) with MEK being the operator of the project.
This new drilling program will focus on near surface mineralization as well as further defining a potential second parallel zone of mineralization within the Naybob South Zone. Previous drill campaigns carried out over the past several years have partially defined shallow gold mineralization.
Highlights from Previous drilling include,:
Diamond Drill Hole (DDH) OG10-025 returning an intercept of 5.68 grammes per tonne (g/t) gold over 7.0 meters(m),
DDH OG11-01 assaying 6.217 g/t gold over 6.63m and,
DDH OG10-023 assaying 22.5m of 1.03 g/t gold.
The zone is described as a strongly altered sedimentary unit with strong albitization and silicification with associated pyrite and arsenopyrite. Results from the drill program will be released as they are received and compiled.
