Silver Pursuit Resources will begin diamond drilling at its LUZ property, which is situated 50 km north of Alamos in Mexico.
The LUZ property was purchased simultaneously with the Quintera silver property. The drilling and sampling was accessed by a road construction. During late 2010, the company performed a primary geological exploration of the region and rock channel sampling. It has also executed a follow-up mapping and sampling earlier this year and has chosen drill hole locations. The company discussed about performing a diamond drilling program at the LUZ property in early June 2011.
The targeted area for exploration is an iron oxide copper-gold skarn deposit, which outcrops at the LUZ property. Mineralization includes immense hematite and magnetite in numerous areas up to a width of 35 m that is spread over 0.5 km broad and 1 km long area. The company has encountered high-grade gold and copper from iron oxide outcrops through rock chip channel sampling and preliminary field assessment. There also occurs prominent zinc, silver and lead in some samples.
ALS Chemex in North Vancouver tested all the rock samples through the gold fire assay and AA or ICP methods for silver and base metals.
The company includes diamond core drilling in this primary drill program and will commence drilling for up to 500 m totaling 5 holes. The intention of this drilling program is to get more skarn body samples and to analyze the level of iron-oxide copper gold mineralization. If the company receives encouraging results, then further drilling will be performed.
