New Guinea Gold (NGG) has obtained the diamond drilling results of holes, KVD026 and KVD027, located in the Kavursuki zone. This zone is situated on strike with the Sinivit Mine and extends 1.5 to 2.0 km to the north.
The company has intersected 19.04 g/t over 4.1 m at the high grade zone and an average of 5.82 g/t gold over 17.2 m core length in the KVD026 hole. It also intersected 10.35 g/t gold over a core length of 1.9 m that begins at 30.7 m depth in the KVD027 hole. NGG has completed the drilling in KVD022, 023 and 024 holes, which are situated 25 m to 100 m south of the new holes and has also reported the drilling results. It has drilled the holes, KVD026 and KVD027, near Kavursuki zone’s northern end to cut the mineralized zone in the surrounding trenches 20 and 21. The company has intercepted the trenches and found 20.35 g/t gold over 4 m, 18.98 g/t gold over 6 m, 12.29 g/t gold over 12 m and 8.08 g/t gold over 20 m. The KVD026 hole is located on the same section and roughly 30 m east of KVD025. The KVD027 hole is situated approximately 60 m north of this section.
The company’s consultant, Bob McNeil stated that the high-grade zones of the Kavursuki are expanded by these drill holes. Additionally, these holes have confirmed the possibility of this 1 km long zone to Sinivit Mine’s north side to surpass the original Sinivit oxide zone.
The company has logged and split the drill core on site and the half core has been sent. It has been examined by the ALS–Chemex laboratory in Townsville, Australia
