Globex Mining Enterprises made a statement on Monday saying that it had intersected high grades of copper and zinc, along with additional gold and silver mineralization, at the Tonnancour property.
The wholly owned Tonnancour property is situated in Quebec, Canada and covers an area of 3,568 hectares which includes 63 mining claims. The property is located over the Tonnancour and Josselin townships in southwestern Quebec, approximately 15 km south of the city of Lebel-sur-Quevillon.
There have been 22 holes drilled here of which the results from 20 have been logged. 16 of these holes were drilled on Tom Lake and the remaining tested other areas. Five more targets are yet to be tested on the property. The first hole of the drill program testing the northeast-southwest trending Tom Lake showing area returned 5.23% Cu, 13.12% Zn, 41.0 g/t Ag and 0.718 g/t Au in a typical, Abitibi style, zoned 4.5 metre wide massive sulphide intersection.
A number of subsequent holed were drilled to test the sulphide zone laterally towards the North East and the South West. They saw several intersection of the sulphide mineralization and the assays for them are pending. Now the drilling has moved on from Tom Lake and is identifying a series of isolated electromagnetic anomalies that were identified previously in an airborne survey.
