Sundance Energy has secured the licenses to drill at six sites, where two sites are situated at its Muskowekwan First Nation Permit and four locations are present at its Ochapowace First Nation Permit in southeast Saskatchewan. The company has planned to drill the primary well during September, 2011.
The company will start the program by drilling two wells, where one well is targeted at every two individual seismically outlined formations at the Ochapowace First Nation Permit, and will subsequently drill two wells at the Muskowekwan First Nation Permit. Based on the results from the four primary wells, the company may drill one or two further wells at the Ochapowace first nation permit. Sundance will drill all these primary test wells to adequate depths in order to estimate the potential of the oil and natural gas in the Bakken, Shaunavon, Second White Specks and Torquay structures. It has engaged Ensign Drilling to perform the drill program and Codeco Engineering Consultants to supervise and organize all the facets of the drilling processes.
The CEO and President of Sundance, has commented that the company is permitted to begin the drilling operations as the ground has been adequately dried. It is delighted to drill and validate these multi-zone targets, which are situated close to the major oil and natural gas potential that are controlled by the industry chiefs. The company is expecting to offer regular updates to its shareholders as the drilling results are received.
