Arctic Star Exploration has reported that Aeroquest International has completed aerial radiometric and magnetic surveys on three properties, which is situated on the Rocky Mountain Rare Metal Belt's Carbo region, north BC.
The location of the Cap, Javorsky and Seebach rare metal and rare earth element (REE) properties are in the immediate locality of the Wicheeda REE discovery of Spectrum Mining and the Canadian International Minerals’ Carbo project. According to the option, Arctic Star is performing exploration program to obtain up to 100% of interest in these three properties. The claim groups are situated 80 km to Prince George’s northeast part and have 20 mineral claims that enclose around 9,129 ha, which would become one of the camp’s main land sites.
The helicopter-borne AeroMAG survey has included around 1,500 line-km at these three properties. The survey’s initial results have found numerous radiometric anomalies located at the Cap property, which are believed to have high importance regarding the additional properties surveyed in the Carbo region. Additionally, the survey’s magnetic element has outlined the strong magnetic anomaly that was defined formerly by the regional magnetic survey.
The company was excited to receive the primary results of the aerial survey, along with the prospecting campaign during 2010, which hosted the syenite’s outcrops with anomalous niobium and zirconium values. Syenite is identified frequently in the Carbo region near to the carbonatite bearing rare earth elements.
The company has started a comprehensive prospecting and mapping campaign, along with the soil sampling at the Cap property to outline the drill targets and confirm the geophysical anomalies.
