Del Toro Silver has commenced the drilling program at the Dos Naciones property, whose area is 2,391 ha and is situated around 160 km to Hermosillo’s northeast part, in the Sonoran porphyry district.
The company is drilling the initial two proposed holes at the La Espanola skarn target, where the former sampling program encountered 0.97% copper, 0.34 g/t gold and 16.8 g/t silver over 1.0 m in the sample 145004, 1.19% copper, 0.24 g/t gold and 26.8 g/t silver over 2.0 m in the sample 464327, 0.95% copper, 0.35 g/t gold and 13.3 g/t gold over 2.0 m in the sample 464329.
Del Toro has focused the third drill hole at the Dos Naciones skarn zone, which is situated about 3.25 km to the La Espanola’s southwest direction. This zone has several significant works. Formerly, Yale sampled this zone, which yielded 0.71% copper, 0.15 g/t gold and 12.4 g/t silver over 2.0 m in the sample 464319, 1.51% copper, 0.43 g/t gold and 29.9 g/t silver over 2.0 m in the sample 464321, 1.22% copper, 0.15 g/t gold and 9.5 g/t silver over 1.80 m in the sample 464324, 0.84% copper, 0.06 g/t gold and 3.6 g/t silver over 2.50 m in the sample 464325.
The company has scheduled to examine the fourth drill hole for silver-lead veins, which is situated 300 m to the Dos Naciones skarn’s eastern part that are noticed in different exposures over 100 x 50 m of area, approximately. It collected two samples from the mineralized dumps.
This property has several mineralized skarn bodies, present at a regional magnetic anomaly’s southern and eastern borders. The anomaly matches with an altered intrusive body that has dispersed pyrite base metal sulphides.
