ABM Resources Announces Drilling Results from Twin Bonanza Gold Camp Project

ABM Resources has reported the recent drilling results from the Twin Bonanza gold camp project. The company’s extensional drill program between the Cypress and Caribbean zones has shown the extensive continuity of grade mineralization along the Buccaneer Porphyry body’s western boundary.

ABM intersected 25.13 g/t gold over 2 m, 13.23 g/t gold over 4 m and 1.92 g/t gold over 31 m in the hole BCRC100062. It has cut a newly identified sedimentary-housed oxide gold zone towards the western part of the Caribbean to Cypress zone trend. The company has encountered 1.01 g/t gold over 16 m and 0.46 g/t gold over 48 m in the hole BCRC100062, 1.5 g/t gold over 6 m and 0.75 g/t gold over 26 m in the hole BCRC100064.

Intercepts of gold at the Bandit prospect is situated 1.6 km to the Old Pirate prospect’s southeast part, encountering 13.25 g/t gold over 1 m and 3.12 g/t gold over 5 m. The 2011 assay results from around 10,000 m of drilling at Old Pirate, Buccaneer extensional projects and Buccaneer are pending. The company has almost completed drilling at the Hyperion gold project, including a projected 3,400 m of resource definition and extensional drill program.

Recent drilling has proposed the mineralization continuity in a structurally controlled zone, which is situated at the strike, sub-parallel to the Buccaneer porphyry intrusion’s western boundary. These mineralized zones are situated immediately to the Buccaneer porphyry deposit’ northwest direction and around 3 km from the Old Pirate prospect.

The Caribbean zone at the trend’s southern end has a faulted and sheared porphyry with a high content of sulphide along with chlorite and quartz veins. The Cypress zone has indicated strongly mineralized gold present in quartz chlorite veins along with a negligible content of sulphide. Low-grade mineralization is found in the shallow oxide environment. The zone is exposed towards the northern and southern part.

The company has cut a second mineralization zone in the low oxide zone in the high magnetic sediments that is located immediately to the contact’s western part.

This is mainly outlined by holes BCRC1000062 and BCRC100066, which encountered mineralization for around 60 m under the surface, and a third hole has cut weak mineralization of around 100 m below the hole BCRC100062.
