All relevant geological data from its fully controlled “Karelian Gold Line” made available Endomines is pleased to announce that it has today officially made available all relevant geological data from its fully controlled “Karelian Gold Line” – a 40 km-long gold prospective Archaean greenstone belt located in Eastern Finland.
The released data is available for geoscientists and others from all over the world after registering to “Karelian Gold Rush 2015 - Endomines Exploration Challenge” at http://goldrush.endomines.com.
With this competition, Endomines is challenging the mining and exploration community to innovative and out-of-box thinking and to come up with new ideas for exploration targets and models. More than 30 years of exploration activity has resulted in gold deposits currently in production as well as numerous mineralizations along the “Karelian Gold Line”. The region is still underexplored and shows great potential!
An international jury of independent and experienced geoprofessionals will judge entries. Best exploration proposals will be rewarded with Cash Prizes: First Prize 40 000€, Second Prize 20 000€, third prize 10 000€ and fourth to eight prizes 2 000€. The independent jury will evaluate all proposals and the winners will be announced at the Prospectors and Developers Conference March 2016 (PDAC 2016) in Toronto, Canada. The jury members are Paul Evins, Ph.D. (structural geology) WSP Sweden; Denis Schlatter, Ph.D. (geochemistry) Helvetica Exploration Services Switzerland and Turo Ahokas, M.Sc. (geophysics) Independent Senior Geophysicist. Markus Ekberg, M.Sc. (geology), CEO of Endomines, Ab coordinates jury activities.
“We are very delighted about the activity around this competition. So far, some 100 qualified geoscientist have registered to the competition. We expect we will receive several high quality proposals from these international competitors. New, innovative and perhaps even wild ideas for new exploration targets are welcome”, comments Markus Ekberg, CEO of the Company.
