Paramount Gold Receives BDR Approval for Permitting Grassy Mountain Mine

Paramount Gold Nevada Corp. recently stated that it has received approval of the Noise Baseline Data Report (BDR) as complete from the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries (DOGAMI). The Noise BDR’s purpose is to document the current noise levels at various locations close to the planned Grassy Mountain Mine, along the access road and at a neighboring campground before the commencement of mining procedures.

We continue to have a positive working relationship with the DOGAMI. We are in the process of completing revisions to the Geochemistry, Groundwater, Cultural and Wildlife final BDRs. Our goal remains to file both the Consolidated Permit Application to the DOGAMI and the updated Plan of Operation with the Bureau of Land Management in mid-2019.

Furthermore, HDR Inc., contracted by the BLM to conduct the Environmental Impact Statement, has commenced their review of the project including all finalized baseline data reports along with the DOGAMI.

A summary of the complete set of baseline data reports for Grassy Mountain is given below:

  • 18 of the 23 baseline data reports have been appraised and accepted by the Technical Review Team (TRT);
  • Four more reports have been submitted and revisions are ongoing, before acceptance by the TRT;
  • The Mined Land Reclamation BDR, the concluding report, will be filed together with the Consolidated Permit Application.
