Galahad Metals has finished the surface IP survey and the phase II diamond-drilling campaign at the Regcourt gold project.
The phase II program includes drilling of 3,130 m, totaling 13 holes. The company has planned to target the unproven portions of the hydrothermal quartz-tourmaline stringer and vein regions connected with shear-zones and fractures, the down-dip expansions of the gold-bearing formations and geophysical anomalies delineated by the recently done down-hole survey.
Recently, Abitibi Geophysics has finished the surface IP survey, which covers the Regcourt diorite infringement for a 10 line km and will integrate the gathered down-hole three-dimensional IP survey information that was finished in December, 2010.
The company is waiting for the drilling program results and anticipates the IP survey interpretation results to be announced in early July.
The Regcourt property includes 53 claims, which covers more than 32 km2 in the east of the Abitibi Greenstone Belt. Galahad has planned the 2010-2011 exploration to increase the volume and dimensions of the resource, to substantiate the underground intersections and the historic drill around the deserted Regcourt Mine and to authenticate the significant resource of 61,000 tons of 6.49 g/t gold.
