Abcourt Mines has released encouraging diamond drilling results from the four best holes, which was drilled recently at the Tagami property that is immediately to the northern part of the Elder mine.
It has intersected 7.17 g/t gold over 3.0 m width in holes T11-02. The holes T11-05 and T11-12 has also produced good results. The location of the Elder mine is 10 km north-west from the Rouyn-Noranda town in north-west Quebec.
The company has also cut the mineralized zone in the other hole series and identified 2.0 g/t gold. The length of the intersections and true widths are approximately equal. Techni-Lab S.G.B. Abitibi will conduct all the assays.
The CEO and President of Abcourt Mines, has stated that the objective of the company is to significantly build on the 2009 NI-43-101 resource estimate for the Tagami and Elder properties. The company is getting better understanding of the complete structural model for mineralized zones of Tagami and Elder and helps during the ongoing aggressive drilling program. The focus of the company is to open the Elder mine again very soon. This mine had produced 350,000 oz of gold from 1944 to 1964.
In the meantime, a main drilling program is continuing at Abcourt-Barvue Silver-Zinc property located near Val-d'Or and the results are pending. The drilling program is planned to upgrade and enhance the present NI 43-101 all category resources and reserves.
