Argentum Silver has completed the phase I diamond drill program at the Coyote property, which is situated in Mexico.
The company drilled 2,686 m, totaling 25 holes, on the four discovered vein zones, wherein three holes were drilled at the La Colorada zone, four holes at the Bocancha zone, seven holes at the La Florida zone and 11 holes at the El Tajo zone. The original drilling campaign of the company included drilling of 19 holes. The company encountered high-grade intercepts, including 2,745 g/t silver over 2.0 m in hole 2012-3, 1,645 g/t silver over 1.2 m in hole 2012-7. The company was encouraged by these results and increased the number of drill holes to 25. The company previously reported the results of the primary seven holes and is waiting for the assay results of the remaining 18 holes.
Argentum’s drilling program was specifically designed and managed by Jim Robinson, the Senior Geological Consultant and Advisor of the company. A diamond saw was used to cut the core samples in half and ALS Chemex Labs tested one split half core. A 50 g FA AA finish (AA-24) for gold and a 33 element ICP-AES analysis (ME-ICP61m) are included in analytical methods.
The Coyote project has dozens of separate epithermal low-sulfidation gold-silver veins and stockworks. Majority of the mineralization exists in six zones that were outlined within a region of around 1.5 x 2.6 km.
