Environmental Earth Sciences is the new title in 2009!
From Volume 59, issue 1 (print version to be released in November 2009) the journal will be published under the new title Environmental Earth Sciences.
Renaming the journal as of November 2009 aims to better reflect the content of the journal and meets the growing multi-disciplinary interests and diversity of our readers and contributors.
From now on all accepted original articles will be published under the new title.

Environmental Geology is an international multidisciplinary journal concerned with all aspects of interactions between humans, ecosystems and the earth. Coverage includes water and soil contamination; environmental problems associated with transportation; geological processes affecting biosystems and people; remediation of man-made or geological hazards; environmental problems associated with mining and abstraction activities for industrial minerals, coal and ores as well as for oil and gas, water and energy; environmental impacts of exploration and recultivation; impacts of hazardous facilities and activities; land use management; management of environmental data and information in data banks and information systems.
Through dissemination of knowledge on techniques, methods, approaches and experiences, the journal aims to improve and remediate the environment as habitat for life on earth.
