Khalkos Exploration Announces Surface Sampling Results from Villebon Property

EXPLORATION KHALKOS. is pleased to announce the results of surface sampling undertaken on its newly acquired and added claims to the Villebon property. Khalkos has just found the extension of Vein No. 1.

The mineralized zone newly stripped is located approximately 15 meters in the south-west extension of the old trench made on this vein. It consists of a smoky quartz vein with thickness up to 1 meter and contains sulphides (galena and chalcopyrite) as well as visible native gold. A total of eight grab samples were collected from the vein and its host rock with their results shown below:

No Sample Au Ag Pb
g/t g/t %
569587 33,6 32,5 1,1
569589 47,5 71,5 2,34
J143303 1,5 13,4
J143304 0,2 2,8
J143305 51,2 27,4
J143306 0,7 3,4
J143307 4,2 43,2 1,82
J143308 6,7 57,4 2,26

The old trench exposing the vein No. 1 has a length of 100 meters by 4 meters wide and a depth of about 2 meters. The discovery of the extension of Vein No. 1 by Khalkos confirms the gold potential of the Villebon property. Vein No. 1 is included in the NE-SW gold corridor of more than one kilometer and is thus structurally connected with veins No. 3, 4 and Cere located on the original claims of the Khalkos' property. (ref: press releases 04/12/2013; 03/02/2014 and 25/09/2014).

Note that since the beginning of the exploration work undertaken by Khalkos on the Villebon property, no less than four sectors with a high gold grade (more than 30 g/t Au) were identified over a distance of more than 1 km. Khalkos continues its exploration efforts in this corridor to delineate high-grade gold mineralization with features allowing a high rate of recovery of gold by gravimetric method. A 13-ton rock bulk sample taken from Villebon demonstrated these features during an assay performed recently by Khalkos. (ref: press release 07/10/2014)

With the recent addition of the new claims on the Villebon property, Khalkos now holds all the claims covering an area of multi-kilometer gold bearing shear zone located within 75 km southeast of the city of Val-d'Or.

The samples were analyzed with the fire assay (Au AA24) by the ALS Chemex laboratory in Val-d'Or.
