Alto Ventures Ltd. is pleased to announce results of a high-resolution airborne magnetic survey flown at 50 m line spacing over its 100% owned West Fisher claims located approximately 12 km northwest of the Pikoo diamond discovery, northern Saskatchewan (see Figure 1). Preliminary interpretation has identified 16 magnetic targets with geophysical signatures that could be related to kimberlite intrusions.
Several of these targets are associated with down-ice trends of kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM) dispersion grains in tills, including four different till samples that contain very high chromium, ranging from 62.08% to 66.33% Cr2O3, which is above the usual 62% threshold for diamond inclusions (see Alto Ventures news release dated April 1, 2015). There are also several magnetic targets at the east and northeast end of the property that have not yet been tested using till sampling.
Alto's CEO, Rick Mazur stated, "We now have identified numerous KIM grains, dispersion trains and magnetic targets on the West Fisher and GEFA properties. Given that numerous diamondiferous kimberlites have been discovered on the neighbouring Pikoo property by North Arrow, we are very encouraged by the potential for discovery of diamonds on Alto's properties in the Pikoo area."
Alto's President, Mike Koziol, P. Geo. has reviewed field procedures, technical data, and conclusions described in this news release. He is a qualified person under the provisions of National Instrument 43-101 and approves of technical data and conclusions in this news release.
