American Creek Resources Ltd. is pleased to report that it has commenced a fall exploration program on its 100% owned Electrum property located in British Columbia, Canada. The program will include mapping and surface sampling as well as diamond drilling.
The Electrum Project is located in the "Golden Triangle" approximately 45km north of Stewart, British Columbia, near past operating mines including the Riverside, Scotty Gold, Granduc, Big Missouri and Silbak-Premier. The Electrum Project is located approximately 25 km north of the Silbak-Premier and approximately 20km south of Pretium Resource's recently discovered Valley of the Kings deposit. The property is road accessible and is only 45km from recently upgraded concentrate shipping port facilities located in Stewart. The Electrum encompasses the historic East Gold Mine which has produced extremely high grades of gold, silver and electrum in the past, averaging 1,661 g/t gold and 2,560 g/t silver over 25 years of small-scale hand mining.
Fully understanding the complex high grade gold/silver vein structures on the Electrum property requires an approach similar to the advanced techniques utilized by Pretium Resources to delineate the rich high grade vein structures found within their Valley of the Kings deposit. The Valley of the Kings deposit has opened up new insights into these types of high grade transitional epithermal gold/silver occurrences. The exploration program this fall will be focused in an area where past drilling and surface sampling by American Creek has located new massive high grade gold and silver vein outcrops. The objective for this work is to gain a better understanding of the geological structure and to lay the baseline for future work on the property.
The Qualified Person for the Electrum exploration program is Alex Burton, P. Eng., P. Geo. for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101.
