BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:BOW) has announced that it has contracted Geophysics GPR International Inc. of Montreal Quebec, to conduct a helicopter-borne geophysical survey on its 100% owned "St-Victor" property located within the Appalachians of southern Quebec.
The property that is within an extensive belt of sedimentary rocks was targeted for near-surface, bulk-tonnage type deposit. The survey will consist of magnetic and (TDEM) time-domain electromagnetic survey covering an area of over 27,000 hectares for a total of 2410 km flown. The high resolution aeromagnetic survey was designed to identify major structures, geological contacts and potential conductors related to the previously identified gold mineralized zones (c.f. October 12th, press release). The survey will commence today and should be completed within 4 to 6 days.
Bowmore will integrate the new data with existing geological mapping and exploration results to generate an interpretation that will be used to determine the drill program that is planned for January 2011.
Mr. Paul Dumas, President of Bowmore, stated "we are pleased to move quickly with the airborne survey prior to the holidays. Taking into account the size of our property and the area we need to cover, the survey will help us to establish our drill program that is planned for early 2011".
