Gold Lion Resources Inc. unveiled that it has obtained the rights to a property option agreement as of December 18th, 2022. The option agreement cites that Gold Lion Resources has the option to purchase 100% interest in 57 mining claims totaling about 2,950 hectares in the James Bay region of Quebec (Mia Li-3 Lithium Project).

The Mia Li-3 Lithium Project is situated in the James Bay area of Quebec, about 15 km northwest of Q2 Metals Corp.’s Mia Li-1 and Mia Li-2 projects. The Mia Li-3 Project offers a good prospect for exploration on the same trend and is also directly next to land that Q2 has just bought.
On the Mia Li-1 and 2 Projects, historical work by Main Exploration Company Ltd. in 1959 (GM10200) identified several pegmatites containing spodumene.
Geologists from the Quebec government sampled the westernmost mineral showings of the Mia Li-1 and 2 Projects in 1997, and the results showed grades of 0.47% Li2O and 2.27% Li2O, respectively. Along the 8.3 km long trend, several pegmatite intrusions have been noted, although they were never investigated for their lithium potential.
The pegmatite dykes are reported in the 1959 study as being up to 100 feet (30.5 m) wide and frequently zoned, with spodumene crystals reported as being up to 2 feet (0.61 m) in length.
The northeast limb of the Vieux Comptoir granite and a concordant intrusive body defined as a spodumene granite on SIGEOM, the geo-mining information system of the Quebec provincial government, are covered by the southern portion of the Mia Li-1 and 2 Projects.
The Vieux Comptoir Granite unit is part of Gold Lion’s Mia Li-3 Lithium Project. It is an undifferentiated granite package that may include stages of pegmatitic granite, k-feldspar granite, and spodumene granite.
