In Nunavik, Quebec, MAX Power Mining Corp. (Max Power or Company) has begun the field exploration that targets lithium-rich pegmatites, where the Company has assembled a 306 km2 land package that covers the Raglan West and New Leaf districts.
MAX has associated with GroundTruth Exploration whose logistical knowledge, advanced technology, and highly skilled crews for Nunavik will intensify breakthrough potentials in a broad area comprising the top third of Quebec.
For the first time, under-explored Nunavik is the target of a powerful multi-company campaign to identify spodumene-bearing lithium deposits in a potential geological surrounding the exterior of the large Cape Smith Belt hosting one of the world’s premier nickel mines at Raglan.
Previously mapped pegmatites at the exterior of this popular nickel belt have never been earlier verified for lithium. The Quebec government database displays that in these huge district-scale areas, Nunavik hordes the highest values and concentrations of cesium and lithium in lake-bottom sediments in the province.
Exploration Strategy Highlights:
- In July 2023, teams will conduct a first-pass sweep of 184 km2 Spark Property of MAX Power in the New Leaf Camp in southern Nunavik, after a first-pass sweep of MAX’s strategic Raglan West holdings. Both areas exhibit enormous outcrop.
- Phase 1 will comprise prospecting, mapping, and sampling and prioritize potential pegmatite zones for Phase 2 follow-up, along with drilling in the summer of 2023.
- A previously mapped pegmatite structure at the Spark Property, showing recurrently for a distance of around 3 km and 300 m in width, is an initial target of focus.
We’re incredibly excited about Nunavik’s lithium potential. We have a well-planned program that will cover a lot of ground in just the next few weeks. This is how discoveries are made.
