The Moblan Lithium Project is a North American lithium producer. Sayona Mining Limited ("Sayona") announced the results from 34 new drillholes totaling 7,853 m, which demonstrate the potential of a single, large, continuous orebody.
The most recent exploration program’s drilling results have been finished, verified, and made public. The 2023 drilling program has proven to have the capacity to expand Moblan’s mineral resource base. A drilling program was created to test mineralization extensions and provide in-fill data for upgrading Mineral Resource categories from the 2023 MRE.
Specific dykes encompassing the Main Zone, South Zone, Inter Zone, and Moleon domain have been recorded and modeled. The most recent drilling results support the possibility of converting some of the indicated resources within the MRE pit shells to the indicated category and identifying high-grade lithium mineralization outside the pit shells, specifically in the Inter Zone Area.
The latest drillhole results strengthen the project’s position as the focal point of Sayona’s Eeyou-Istchee James Bay hub in northern Quebec. They also demonstrate the project's potential to increase the base of mineral resources currently present at Moblan.
Moblan continues to present outstanding high-grade drilling results over wide intersections. The deposit now extends over ~2.3 km E-W, ~1.2 km N-S and to depth of ~450m. Today's announcement emphasizes the continuation of known mineralization and areas of in-fill between zones, suggesting considerable potential for uncovering additional extensions to this premium lithium deposit.
James Brown, Interim CEO, Sayona Mining Limited
James Brown added, “Recent results from both Moblan and NAL reinforce the quality and potential of both the Abitibi-Temiscamingue and Eeyou Istchee James Bay hubs, which provides Sayona an abundance of options and potential flexibility for the development of an integrated lithium business in Quebec.”
