Ontario’s competitive advantage to be a leading global supplier of critical minerals lies in our commitment to investing in exploration. Through our government’s Ontario Junior Exploration Program (OJEP), this investment in Mink Ventures Corporation’s Warren Ni Cu Co project will help facilitate the exploration of critical minerals, like nickel, copper, and cobalt, which are needed for the made-in-Ontario supply chain that will fuel the future.

George Pirie, Minister of Mines, Legislative Assembly of Ontario

Natasha Dixon, President and CEO, added, “We are very pleased to acknowledge the financial support of the Government of Ontario with this non-dilutive capital from the OJEP grant, that supports our exploration efforts for nickel, copper, and cobalt at Mink’s Warren project.

Mink will receive $89,160 from the OJEP award to fund qualified exploration costs for the Warren project. Mink was chosen under OJEP’s vital minerals stream to facilitate critical mineral exploration in Ontario.

The Company undertook a summer exploration campaign centered on a succession of historical occurrences known as the North Zone, Shaft Zone, SW Zone, and D Zon. The latter three follow a 1.5 km geophysical trend, while the North Zone, a distinct occurrence, was also considered in the NE section of patents.

Sampling from numerous historical occurrences revealed the presence of vast zones of mineralization with high base metal values. Nickel values of interest in the mineralized zones spanned 0.310-0.967 % Ni, whereas significant copper spanned 0.365-0.773 % Cu. The North Zone also contained notable cobalt grades, spanning 0.0573-0.0738 % Co.

A diamond drill program to test these zones will begin in the coming weeks as soon as the freeze-up occurs. The Company can simultaneously test several zones effectively and economically. After completing this drill program, the Company will have finished the exploration expenditures needed to gain a 100 % interest in the Warren patents.
