REC Minerals to Conduct Geophysical Survey at Borden Lake South Gold Property

REC Minerals Corp. (TSX VENTURE:REC) has announced that it has entered into a contract with Geotech Ltd. to carry out a VTEM (helicopter-borne versatile time-domain electromagnetic) geophysical survey over its recently acquired 10,240 acre Borden Lake South gold property.

REC's Borden Lake South gold property is situated near Chapleau, in northeastern Ontario, and is located approximately 2 km south of Probe Mines Limited's Borden Lake property. In November 2010, Probe Mines Limited announced a gold discovery at its Borden Lake property.

The VTEM airborne survey is being carried out for the purposes of investigating the mineral potential of the Borden Lake South gold property, and is an excellent method for locating discrete conductive anomalies. Subject to weather conditions, REC expects that Geotech Ltd. will complete the VTEM airborne survey by the end of this year, with a view to identifying favourable diamond drill targets at the Company's Borden Lake South gold property.

Trevor Boyd, P.Geo., a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 ("NI 43-101"), Vice President of Exploration and a member of the board of directors of REC, supervised the preparation of the technical information contained in this press release in compliance with NI 43-101.
