Vantex Resources Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:VAX) has announced an intersection of 1.04 g/t Au over 45 metres in drill hole VPE10-15, located on the Hendrick zone, along the hole, including 16.50 metres at 1.88 g/t Au. This drill hole is located 600 metres south-west of the GP zone.
The Hendrick zone was initially identified in 1986 by Kerr Addison Mines with drill holes KOD86-01 and KOD86-04. Vantex VPE10-15 drill hole was performed in order to confirm the historical data available and Vantex results seems to provide the desired confirmation. This hole is located 125 metres west of KOD86-01 and 150 metres east of KOD86-04.
All samples were tagged, bagged and shipped to Laboratoire Expert Inc., Rouyn-Noranda, where 30-gram pulp samples are prepared and assayed for gold (FAA). New gravimetric analysis (FA) are performed on all the samples with levels higher than 1.0 g/t Au. A strict QA/QC program including random insertion of blanks, standards and duplicate samples has been followed throughout the sample preparation. The NQ-size core is logged, sampled and split in two at the company's core shack in Rouyn-Noranda.
Moriss zone
Three drill holes are now completed on the Moriss zone. Drill holes VPE10-17 and VPE10-18 were located under VPE10-02 in order to verify its down dip extension and to improve the dip and both holes intersected the targeted zones.
Sections mineralized in pyrite were intersected, down to a vertical depth of 125 metres. The description and preparation of the samples from these drill holes will be completed this week and assays will be announced as soon as they become available.
Drill hole VPE10-16 oriented to the north to test a geophysics anomaly, went through a pyrite mineralized zone over 1.84m between 14.43m and 16.27m along the hole.
The work program is being supervised by Mr. Jeannot Theberge, Geologist and Qualified Person under the NI 43-101 guidelines. Mr. Theberge has read and approved this press release.
