First Gold Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:EFG) (FRANKFURT:F12) (OTCQX:FGEXF) has reported the assay results from channel sampling on the new showings discovered last October.
Channel sampling was done on the three new showings in November. A 116 meter channel sample on the Helico showing returned 0.44% Li2O, 196 ppm Ta2O5, 505 ppm BeO, 3,565 ppm Rb, 87 ppm Cs and 187 ppm Ga over 116 meters. This channel sample was taken along the length of the outcrop and does not reflect the true width of the mineralization. Multiple zones enriched in lithium and/or tantalum, were intersected within the channel. A 28 meter channel on the Pivert South showing returned 0.87% Li2O, 169 ppm Ta2O5, 431 ppm BeO, 2,229 ppm Rb, 95 ppm Cs and 80 ppm Ga over 28 meters. This channel was taken along the length of the outcrop and does not reflect the true width of the mineralization. Multiple zones enriched in lithium and/or tantalum, were also intersected within this channel. On the Pivert East showing, five channels 2 to 4 meters long were taken, each returning grades similar to the channel sampling results on the Helico and Pivert South showings. The channels were taken along the length of the outcrop and do not reflect the true width of the mineralized zone. All these showings are located 2.5 kilometers north-east of Rose deposit.
The Company is also pleased to report the discovery of another showing about 150 meters north of the Pivert East showing. Two 1 metrer long channel samples were taken, and returned up to 2.08% Li2O, 159 ppm Ta2O5, 254 ppm BeO, 1860 ppm Rb, 92.8 ppm Cs and 90 ppm Ga.
''These results once again demonstrate the high potential of Pivert/Rose project. Half a pound of tantalum on surface in a 116-metre channel is no small find!" noted Jean-Sébastien Lavallée, Interim President and Chief Executive Officer.
