Golden Hope Mines Begins Drilling at Bellechasse-Timmins Gold Deposit

Golden Hope Mines Limited (TSX VENTURE:GNH)(OTCQX:GOLHF) has announced that the 2011 winter diamond drill campaign on the Bellechasse-Timmins gold deposit on the Bellechasse Belt of Southeastern Quebec is currently in progress.

Golden Hope has continued to contract Forage Mercier of Val D'Or for the 2011 exploration campaign for an initial 2,000 metres. Golden Hope drilled a total of 16,038 metres in 2010.

With this preliminary drill program, the Company aims to test for an extension of the Timmins 1 Zone, test down dip extensions of the Ascot/Road Zone and continue to further explore the T2 zones.

The drill crew arrived on Monday January 10 and began drilling at the Bellechasse-Timmins property on January 11. The initial target was hole BD2010-150 which was collared before the 2010 holiday season.

Holes BD2010-150 and BD2011-151, which have already been drilled, were primarily to test for an extension of the Timmins 1 Zone to the northeast as well as to test the Ascot/Road Zone to depth along strike to the southwest and down dip from mineralized quartz veined diorite intersected in holes BD2010-98 (up to 2.63 g/t Au over a core length of 4.0 metres) and BD2010-99. The Ascot/Road Zone has an estimated true thickness of approximately 5.0 metres in the area of holes BD2010-98 and BD2010-99.
