Positive Drilling Results for Medoro Resources in Colombia

Medoro Resources Ltd has announced the diamond drilling program results from another 48 drill holes at its Marmato gold project in Colombia. The gold exploration, development and mining company has a large scale open pit mine in Marmato.

Interim President and CEO of Medoro, Serafino Iacono said that in addition to further confirmation of a world-class gold-silver resource, this round of drilling results highlights the potential for further growth in the deposit.

He also said that the step-out holes east of Echandia extending the mineralized envelope, as well as low-grade porphyry mineralization discovered southeast of Marmato, which is interpreted to be the probable source of the mineralizing fluids that formed the Marmato epithermal deposit.

The technical report on the Marmato project was prepared by SRK Consulting UK Limited and announced on January 6. It showed a measured and indicated mineral resource of about 226 million tonnes of average gold grade 0.9 grams per tonne. The general outlook for the property is positive for operations as per the report.
