Troymet Exploration Corp. (TSX VENTURE:TYE) reports the winter exploration program is underway on its 100% owned Key project.
The Key project, located 125 km southwest of Vanderhoof, British Columbia, immediately adjoins the Blackwater project of Richfield Ventures Corp. where a bulk gold deposit has been discovered (September 25, 2009 news release; January 28, 2011 GMP Securities research report).
The winter program comprises diamond drilling and an induced polarization ("IP") survey. Diamond drilling has commenced on the Crag grid where drill targets comprising coincident gold-silver in rock samples, gold in soils, and IP-resistivity anomalies have been identified. Concurrent with the drill program, an IP survey will be initiated in areas of anomalous gold +/- silver +/- zinc in bedrock, as well as elevated to anomalous gold and silver soil values on the Scarp and Butte grids.
Troymet is well financed and holds an exciting portfolio of precious metals and base metals exploration properties all of which it plans to drill in 2011.
