Industrial Minerals Events’ inaugural GreenTech Minerals Conference will take place on 15-16 March 2011 in Rio de Janeiro. It is the only event specialised in the green minerals technology and covering a variety of topics including, but not limited to, wind and solar power, biofuels, batteries and electric vehicles.
The conference will start by an overview on green market with Dr Reinaldo Santana Correia de Brito, Head of the Department of Mineral Resources, CPRM (Geological Survey of Brazil), Brazil, who will be giving an overview about the mineral resources and opportunities in Brazil and Bob Katsiouleris, Chief Commercial Officer, Rio Tinto Minerals, USA, who will consider the outlook for energy efficient minerals.
Batteries and electric vehicles will be discussed by key representatives from SignumBox and Byron Capital Markets. Also, Stephen Riddle, Vice-President, Asbury Graphite Mills, USA, will be looking at the importance of Graphite in new technologies.
Paulo Alexandre Ferreira, Commercial Manager - Wind, IMPSA, Brazil, will discuss how wind power could be the future and what this will mean for the minerals industries.
Key topics include wind turbines, solar power/ photovoltaic, batteries and fertilisers for biofuels.
