Rockcliff Resources Inc. (RCR: TSXV) has announced that Geotech Ltd. ("Geotech") of Aurora, Ontario has commenced a 1700 line kilometre airborne survey on four properties within its Snow Lake Project including the Tower and Dickstone Mine Properties.
Additional properties are the Dickstone North and Rail North Properties. Presently, Rockcliff has three drill rigs operating on the project. Recently, (please see press release dated March 1, 2011) drilling at Tower intersected significant VMS mineralization across 8.2m grading 7.6% copper, 2.0g/t gold, 1.7% zinc and 35.4 g/t silver. The project is centered within the prolific Flin Flon greenstone belt, the largest Paleoproterozoic VMS district in the world.
The VTEM system will assist in providing, for the first time, a state of the art airborne geophysical technology on underexplored properties with considerable merit for VMS mineralization. The Tower Property hosts the Tower VMS Zone (open in all directions) which is associated along an unexplored 12 km long regional trend. The Dickstone Mine Property hosts over 7kms of the favourable "mine trend geology". The Dickstone North Property lies immediately north of the Dickstone Mine and the Rail North Property is located immediately north of Rockcliff's Rail Deposit (NI 43-101 Indicated Resource Compliant).
The survey will utilize Geotech's versatile time-domain electromagnetic (VTEM) and high sensitivity, cesium vapour magnetometer systems over the project area. The VTEM system has excellent depth penetration and high spatial resolution capabilities along with superior resistivity discrimination for detection of weaker anomalies. The survey is expected to be completed by the end of March.
