Guyana Frontier Mining has begun the diamond drilling program on Borland Lake target area at Favorable Lake Project in Ontario, Canada, situated about 200 kilometers north of Red Lake, Ontario. The Project is a joint venture of Gold Canyon Resources and Guyana Frontier.
The drilling for 2011 consists of minimum of 1,000 meters of diamond drilling in six to eight holes at Borland Lake. The depth is estimated to a minimum of 125 meters and maximum of 200 meters, if weather permits. Historically, Noranda Exploration and Massive Energy encountered mineralized zones containing silver, gold, lead and zinc between 1962 and 1987. Intention of this drilling is to analyze these zones.
Guyana Frontier was incapable of intercepting these zones during 2010 winter drilling, owing to warm winter and weak ice conditions on Borland Lake. Summer drilling intercepts the shore of Borland Lake but was not able to cut the historical zone.
The hole, 65-2 of Noranda cut 391.2 g/t silver over 33.3 meters. The programs of Massive Energy has confirmed the target and delineated three sharply plunging shoots in the mineralized trend. The hole, 86-6 of Massive Energy has encountered three mineralized zones over 23.1 meters that including 598.1 g/t silver over 6.2 meters and hole 87-2 cut 488.2 g/t silver over 4.6 meters.
The new ongoing study of 2008 Titan-24 geophysical survey results is to aid analysis of first hole results of 2011 drilling program and to possibly discover any adjacent mineralized zones.
