Astral Mining has commenced Phase I surface exploration program at the Los Crestones epithermal gold-silver project in Sierra Madre gold-silver belt, in Sinaloa, Mexico. Astral has moved the exploration group to Los Crestones Project in order to prepare for this summer drilling.
The Phase I exploration program consists of rock chip and channel outcrop sampling, guttering and path sampling on vein expansions, project-scale inspection rock sampling and mapping, geographical mapping of the project and full scales, orientation soil sampling along known trends, community session and environmental permitting, construction of roads and drill pads.
The present exploration will estimate the possible main mineralized trend extensions and further showings on property previous to the planned summer 2011 diamond drilling.
Los Crestones is a gold-silver property sited inside the Sierra Madre belt in Western Mexico, which has not drill tested before. The three Corona, Bohemia and El Indio veins are sloping north-south and dip evenly 60 to 75°to the east. The veins describe the 400m extensive corridor and scattered showing.
