Macarthur Minerals has received the first 36 Reverse Circulation (RC) drill hole assay results from Lake Giles project, present in Western Australia. The company cuts 59.4% Iron over 42 meters and each hole returns possible direct shipping ore ("DSO") grade mineralization.
So far, the company has expanded the known mineralization in numerous spots and new extending mineralization zones are marked at the Snark project area. The company proceeds drilling over the outcropping hematite zones wherein it obtains 7.1 million tonnes at 55.9% Iron as inferred mineral.
Macarthur Minerals intersects 59.4% Iron over 16m, 59.7% Iron 13m over, 58.7% Iron over 14m, 58.6% Iron over 16m, 57.5% Iron over 15m, 55.9% Iron over 19m.
This year, the company has begun drilling and it drilled more than 100 holes and plans to drill more than 200 holes at Snark. The basis for Mineral Resource estimations is these holes, which will be completed by mid-year.
Additionally, the company has revealed strike areas of DSO that may possibly continue under surface cover. It has discovered a new area called the ‘Drabble-Downs’ as possible additional DSO source in Snark area. Currently, drilling will be performed over this new area.
The company is certain that drilling must boost the Mineral Resource estimate from the results obtained so far at Snark. The overall Inferred Mineral Resource estimate is 18 million tonnes at 55.5% Fe, currently.
