St. Eugene Mining has begun the 2011 Exploration Program at the Tartan Lake Gold Mine property, through a 333 km airborne survey over the full Tartan Lake Mine land package.
For more than 22 years, the Tartan Lake mine has not been widely explored, but now the company has good possibility to identify additional gold mineralization at Tartan because of new and enhanced geophysical and geological techniques.
On account of receiving a complete continuing data compilation and interpretation of past data from Tartan Lake gold mine and the contagious area, St. Eugene has included all features of the property dataset and has prepared a two phase exploration and development program.
The Phase I exploration incorporates ground magnetic and electromagnetic surveys over the entire property, to support in deciding perspective targets; dewatering of the Tartan Lake Mine; diamond surface and underground drilling of 4,000 m in approximate, to analyze the expansions of the Main zone at depth; to perform additional channel sampling and 10,000 tonnes bulk sample for mining method research and mineral process testing; surface and underground study; mine tailing reprocessing and continuing care and site maintenance.
St. Eugene has been trying to discover additional gold mineralization at the mine site, predominantly connected to the Main and South Zone. Moreover, the company will perform follow up work on numerous other mineralized zones found on the property by the prior explorers.
