Lithium Exploration has purchased 60% possession of the five mining areas in the Salta province, northwest Argentina.
The five areas (cateos), 104,765 acres in total, are situated on the western border of the two salt lakes (salars) in the area, Salar de Rio Grande and Salar de Arizaro. So far, the properties are not explored to their full potential, but it has identified the presence of computable levels of both lithium and potassium in the surface water.
The locations of all the five properties are in the Puna plateau, which is a lithium-rich, high-altitude basin on the eastern slopes of the Andes that spans the Argentina-Chile boundary. The region is around 75km south of the Salar de Atacama and 100km northwest of the Salar de Hombre Muerto. These two salt lake regions vigorously yield lithium resources.
The company is thrilled about the opportunity given to explore these five cateos that possess chief deposits of lithium in the globe. It has previously finished the NI 43-101 complaint technical report, which incorporates surface water tests and a lay out for assets exploration.
