Oz Minerals has announced a 2% rise in first quarter of copper production. From the Prominent Hill mine the company output 25,708 tonnes of copper in the quarter, this is higher than the 25,185 tonnes of copper in the previous quarter.
However gold output for the quarter has gone down by 23% when compared to the previous quarter. The gold produced was 41,911 ounces in the quarter, less that the 54,128 ounces that were mined in the previous three months.

OZ Minerals is currently exploring in Australia, Chile, Mexico and the US and currently has four exploration projects in Cambodia’s province of Mondulkiri, the most advanced of these is the Okvau project which is believed to be a promising gold area.
