Lions Gate Metals has released the results of drill holes 11-PC-86 and 11-PC-87 from the 2011 drilling program at the Poplar project.
The company has drilled hole 11-PC-86 and 11-PC-87 in converse directions from a similar spot to verify the discovered copper and gold mineralization identified by previous drill holes.
The company has intersected 0.31% copper, 0.07g/t gold, 0.008% molybdenum over 343.95m in hole 11-PC-86 including 0.44% copper, 0.11 g/t gold, 0.010% molybdenum over 220.95m in hole 11-PC-86. This hole is mineralized over the complete length and remains open to depth.
Lions Gate has cut 0.03% copper and 0.01 g/t gold over 11.28 m to 279.50m in hole 11-PC-87. This hole is mineralized to some extent.
The intercepts found in hole 11-PC-86 is same in grade and geology as the intersection in hole 11-PC-84, grading 0.41% copper and 0.12 g/t gold over 229.13m. The company has identified from these intersections that unknown high-grade mineralized zones may possibly occur in the Poplar deposit. The major high-grade mineralization begins in hole 11-PC-86 at the bedrock interface and is open in all directions. It also plans for further drilling to describe this zone.
The company has received encouraging results from the third drill hole. It is expecting for the lab work completion and analysis for the whole program in order to prepare NI 43-101 compliant resource estimation.
