Mesa Exploration has purchased the White Mountain Potash Project in western Utah, which contains around 1,700 acres of Federal Potash Permit Applications.
The White Mountain project has the existence of potash in the form of mineral alunite. Alunite can be processed into commercial products like potash, as sulfate of potassium , sulfuric acid and alumina. Low-cost surface mining methods is adopted to explore the prospective mineral since the deposit is very shallow. The mining areas are approached by well kept gravel roads, sustain out year round work and are present 12 miles away from the Union Pacific Railroad.
In addition, Mesa has submitted Federal Potash Permit Applications for 350 acres, which comprises around 7% of the Blawn Mountain alunite deposit, which is the biggest known alunite deposit in North America. This year both Blawn Mountain and White Mountain deposit will be assessed by surface sampling, mapping and historic information analysis.
Mesa has chosen not to continue the Pine Valley alunite project, situated 4 miles to the west of White Mountain.
