Pacific Ridge Exploration has completed an airborne magnetometer survey above a part of the Mariposa gold property in White Gold District, Yukon. This survey has enclosed six gold-in-soil target areas found during the 2010 exploration, with the Skookum Jim gold anomaly, which is 3500m long x 600m wide.
Using the helicopter-mounted cesium vapor magnetometer, Precision GeoSurveys of Vancouver, BC has performed high resolution aeromagnetic survey of around 900 line kilometers in total along the 1000 metre spaced tie lines and 100 metre spaced lines. Now, the results are in the process and will later be infer with the geochemical datasets.
Pacific Ridge and some companies have done latest work in the White Gold District and have identified structural discontinuities, which are best for hosting gold mineralization. The company has used ground and airborne magnetic surveys as mapping tools to define the formations, variation prototypes and primary rock types. The best method to discover drill targets is incorporation of geophysical results and gold-in-soil geochemical trends.
Also, Pacific Ridge will perform follow-up ground magnetic and electromagnetic survey at the Mariposa property. This review will be carried out in great detail than the aeromagnetic coverage and offers best target description for the first holes. Drilling is planned to begin in mid-June.
