Legend Gold has reported the first reverse circulation (RC) drilling results from Tiekoumala South.
This 50 hole drilling program has released assays that define gold mineralization, which was formerly found in an auger and RC drilling that was accomplished in 2010.
The company has encountered wide zones of anomalous gold upto 70 metres broad and surpasses 800 metres in length at Tiekoumala South. Legend Gold has cut 0.144 g/t gold over 100 metres in RC hole 11TKSRC-007. The RC rock chips have found mineralization and modification and contain extreme silicification and quartz layers with pyrite and arsenopyrite in metasediment.
This mineralized zone is being characterized by extremely anomalous gold concentrations in an advantageous ground structure and within an intrinsic structure. The company is conducting comprehensive planned air core (AC) drilling and termite mound sampling at the north extension of the mineralized zone.
Legend Gold is analyzing the several geochemical and geophysical anomalies after the release of drilling results and these anomalies are found from the latest termite mound sampling and a reanalysis of airborne and Induced Polarization (IP) surveys.
The company will continue the drilling program at Tiekoumala Property along with the ongoing sampling programs. The prepared samples will be tested by a local independent laboratory using FA50-AAS (Fire Assay on 50 gram sample with an Atomic Absorption finish).
