GMR Global Mineral Resources has acquired the Enterprise silver mining assets in the Slocan mining region in British Columbia, Canada.
The Enterprise silver mine is next to the Ottawa mine in the amount and sum of ore produced in the mining area of Slocan city. The location of this mining property is on BC Mineral tenure number 533325. The silver mine is sited on the southern part of the valley close to the union of Enterprise and Neepawa creeks, which is 11 kilometres northeast of Slocan city.
The key layer is unbroken for over 600 metres. The production of silver at the property continued until 1977 and encountered 32,676,718 grams of silver, 2.041 grams of gold, 1,674 tonnes of lead, 1,068 tonnes of zinc, and 445 kilograms of cadmium, 149 kilograms of copper from 11,067 tonnes of ore in total.
GMR will employ modern mining technologies to and take out a major proportion of the remaining ore. Now, this ore is exceptionally feasible because of the increase in cost of silver to $40 USD per ounce.
