Trevali Mining has reported the first drilling results from the metallurgical test of the Upper zone at Halfmile lead-zinc-copper-silver deposit in New Brunswick, Canada.
Trevali has drilled significant sulphide zones in the deposit, besides new high-grade copper zones in the Hanging wall. Grades of silver and gold are prominent in the lead-zinc main section of the huge sulphide body.
The company has encountered high-grade silver averaging 59.9 g/t silver and more than 16.95 g/t silver for the Upper zone noted in NI-43-101 resource assessment. Trevali intersected 0.55 g/t gold in the Upper zone but gold was not incorporated in the NI43-101 estimate. In the centre of the upper zone, huge sulphides are present in depth ranging from 9 to 29 metres. Trevali has also has found 0.86% to 2.97% copper over 3.63-to-7.0 metre in the latest copper-rich stringer zone.
The latest 2,500-metre metallurgical and geotechnical drilling has been finished and was performed to measure the amount of precious metal of the Halfmile Upper zone. The Phase I underground mine development was anticipated to begin and target this zone.
Indicated Resource of 6.26 million tonnes including 8.13% zinc, 2.58% lead, 0.22% copper and 30.78 g/t silver and 6.08 million tonnes of further Inferred Resource with 6.69% zinc, 1.83% lead, 0.14% copper and 20.51 g/t silver has been reviewed by the February 2009 NI43-101 compliant resource calculation on Halfmile
