WestSide Commences Drilling at MER05X Exploration Well

WestSide is the operator of the Meridian SeamGas CSG gas fields and has begun drilling at the MER05X exploration well in PL 94 close to Moura. It continues the momentum of the present reserve development program.

MER05X exploration well was spud on 30 April 2011 and the drilling is advancing towards the target of 475 metres in depth. Then, the well will be logged, analyzed and deferred as a monitoring well in the future.

This well is the tenth in an exploration campaign planned to enhance the gross proved and feasible (2P) reserves of Meridian SeamGas joint venture by up to 200 petajoules.

The MER14X well has drilled to a target of 830 metres in depth and has cut the Baralaba Coal Measures and Kaloola structure by means of an overall net coal quantified at 16.8 metres.

WestSide will provide standard updates during the growth of the reserves expansion exploration program.
