Magma Metals has begun summer drilling program at its Thunder Bay North platinum-palladium-copper-nickel project in Ontario.
Recently, the company has announced an initial program of drilling about 14,000 m to analyze possible resource expansions more than 600 m strike of the Current Lake Intrusive Complex. The location of this region is instantly to the south-east of the presently outlined mineral resource. Also, numerous holes will be drilled directly south of the Bridge Zone to analyze open sites in that vicinity. Magma has started drilling and expects approximately three months to finish the operation with two drill rigs.
Positive mineralization has been encountered from reconnaissance drilling in the west side of this region, till 200 m east of the recent mineral resource.
The drilling program will test the key area that has three famous geophysical anomalies. These anomalies include induced-polarization (IP) and large coincident gravity anomalies jointly with an overlapping magnetic anomaly.
The main part of the project is drilling program for developing the resource base. The company will analyze the intrusive complex that widens for at least a further 2 km to the east of the region through this program and also this upcoming drilling will target this region. ALS Laboratory in Vancouver has assayed the collected samples.
