Cabo Drilling Begins Exploration Work at Albanian Bulqiza Chromite Project

Cabo Drilling is a drilling services firm based in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

The Eastern European branch of Cabo Drilling has begun a minimum of 1,000 m drilling campaign at its Albanian Bulqiza Chromite Project, which belongs to the Canada-based Empire Mining.

The location of this project is in Northeast Albania, which is approximately 40 km from the capital, and in the Bulqiza-Batra Licence that is 5 km south-east of the ore body having the Batra and Bulqiza mines.

According to Cabo’s Albania GM Terry Aimone, the company has started this phase of confirmation drilling at the Thekna Gallery. The capability, skill and creativity to modify the equipment as per the customer requirements will benefit both the Thekna Gallery drilling campaign and the expansion group. This is a significant advancement for the company to become known as a strongly established and responsible drilling contractor in Europe.

Atlas Copco U-6 electric diamond drill rig has been used by Cabo to execute several 300 meter deep core holes.
