Josephine Mining has identified sulfide mineralization zones during the present in-fill drilling program at the Turner Gold Project.
Robert L. Russell, CEO and President of the company has stated that by receiving the drill turning and drilling permits, Josephine has intercepted two sulphide zones in the initial drill hole and is waiting for the first assay results and additional drill hole information.
The company is going to finish the first of a proposed 12-hole drill program, following the receipt of the drilling permit from the State of Oregon. Two huge sulfide layers, which begin at 256 ft depth, have been cut in the hole TJM-69. The mineralized intercept is extending through a depth of 709 ft signifying more than 450 ft of semi-massive and massive sulphide that is probably linked to the MUZ-Main Upper Zone. Also, there are sulfide intercepts at 960 ft depth in the MLZ-Main Lower Zone. Presently, the geological team is splitting, prepping and logging the core for mill testing and assay. The team has visually recognized the enormous sulfide mineralization as chalcopyrite, pyrite and sphalerite.
The aim of the drill program is to make progress in the mineral resource categorization and to increase the entire resource tonnage. The type of mineral resource is Cyprus, ophiolite-hosted volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) zinc, gold and copper deposit. The VMS mineralization has high iron sulfide minerals, pyrite, sulfide, pyrite, and copper, zinc and lead sulfides.
